US President Donald Trump warned that while 'Israel' may be making military gains in Gaza, it is failing to win the broader battle for global public opinion.

Speaking in an interview with the Daily Caller, Trump said 'Israel' “may be winning the war, but they’re not winning the world of public relations.”

Trump reiterated his view that the war should be brought to an end quickly, saying prolonged fighting “is hurting Israel.” Yet at the same time, he has backed 'Israel’s' strategy to push deeper into Gaza City and eventually target refugee camps in the central Strip.

In recent statements, Trump has stressed that Hamas will not release remaining captives until it is fully dismantled, urging 'Israel' to “finish the job.”

When asked about declining support for 'Israel' within the United States, including among Republicans, Trump acknowledged the trend but sought to emphasize his own record of support for the country. He pointed to policy steps he has taken in 'Israel’s' favor while also noting that the once-powerful pro-'Israel' lobby on Capitol Hill no longer carries the same weight.

“Fifteen or twenty years ago, Israel had the strongest lobby in Congress I had ever seen,” Trump said. “If you wanted to be a politician, you couldn’t speak badly about Israel. They had total control. But they’ve been hurt, especially in Congress.”

The president concluded by lamenting what he described as fading global attention to the October 7 Hamas attacks that triggered the war, according to Trump.
