Jordan thwarts drone drug smuggling attempt

The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army, through its Southern Military Region, successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics using a drone over its western border area, within its jurisdiction.

The drone was detected by Border Guard forces in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department. Engagement protocols were applied, and the drone was brought down within Jordanian territory.

The seized narcotics have been handed over to the relevant authorities for further action.
