"Netanyahu thrives on conflict, destroying Gaza to save his political career", says Safadi
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi condemned 'Israel’s' ongoing offensive in the Gaza Strip and urged the international community to take decisive action.
In a tweet on X, Safadi praised the unequivocal condemnation of the 'Israeli' attacks by the foreign ministers of Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Slovenia, and Spain, as well as their announcement to establish a permanent presence in Gaza City. He called on all countries that support international law and human rights to follow suit.

Safadi criticized what he described as Israel’s impunity, stating that the Israeli government “will not end its brutal massacres in Gaza and its colonization of the West Bank unless it faces consequences.” He warned that Israel would continue to escalate tensions in the region, including destabilizing Syria and Lebanon, if unchecked.
He further accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of exploiting conflict to advance his political career, saying, “Netanyahu thrives on conflict. He is destroying Gaza, killing prospects for a just peace and setting the whole region on fire to save his political career. And to implement the ideology of hate that drives his government. This ideology is an inhumane racist ideology that the world should not tolerate.”
Safadi highlighted the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, noting that one million people in Gaza City are facing famine while 1.3 million others have had their livelihoods destroyed. He stressed that these civilians should not continue to suffer for political agendas.
He also criticized Israel for blocking a ceasefire deal, stating that “Netanyahu does not want peace. He wants continued conflict,” and called on the international community to act urgently to stop further bloodshed.
Safadi concluded by urging countries to adopt the stance of Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Slovenia, Spain, and others “who are standing on the side of peace and justice” to prevent further massacres of Palestinians.
