VIDEO: Netanyahu’s government stalls Gaza ceasefire, says Qatar’s Foreign Ministry

Qatar’s foreign ministry accused Benjamin Netanyahu’s government of obstructing a proposed ceasefire in Gaza and called on the international community to pressure 'Israel' to end the war.

Spokesperson Dr. Majed bin Mohammad Al Ansari said during a press conference in Doha on Tuesday that Qatar’s mediation efforts, coordinated with partners, will continue until the war ends. He welcomed all initiatives aimed at achieving a truce.

Al Ansari added that mediators presented a “serious and balanced” proposal but have not received any response from 'Israel'. “The Netanyahu government does not want to respond to the proposal on the table for a Gaza truce,” he said.

Amid the deadlock, Qatar urged the international community to intervene. “We call on the international community to pressure Israel to stop the war on Gaza,” Al Ansari stated. He stressed that Qatar remains committed to mediation efforts until the conflict concludes.

Regarding the location of negotiations, the spokesperson said it does not matter whether talks take place in Egypt or Qatar, emphasizing that the priority is reaching an agreement to end the suffering of the Palestinian people.
