Jordan's army chief stresses readiness, coordination during border visit
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmad Huneiti, emphasized that boosting readiness and strengthening coordination among units of the Jordanian Armed Forces are essential pillars in enhancing operational capability to counter any potential threat efficiently.
This came during his visit on Tuesday to elite force units stationed in the Jaber border area, where he was received by the Assistant for Operations and Training, the Eastern Military Region Commander, and a number of senior army officers.
Major General Huneiti received a military briefing from the force commander detailing the nature of field duties, operational responsibilities, and security measures in place to protect the border. The briefing also covered mechanisms for joint coordination with other military security agencies under an integrated operational framework.
He met with personnel from various branches of the deployed units and conveyed greetings from His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Huneiti expressed his pride in the discipline and professionalism of the troops and their high competence in addressing the challenges posed by the current strategic environment.
He stressed the importance of continuing advanced training, improving logistical and technical readiness, and developing fieldwork tools to ensure units are capable of performing their duties with efficiency and strength.
