One infiltrator killed by Jordanian army at border with Syria

Jordanian border guards in the Eastern Military Command thwarted an infiltration attempt along the border on Monday evening, a statement from the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) said.

The statement reported that a group of individuals was detected trying to cross the border illegally.

Quick-reaction patrols were dispatched and applied the rules of the engagement with the infiltrators, resulting in one individual being killed while the rest of the group fled back into Syrian territory, per the statement.
