Jordan has extended its condolences to South Korea following devastating floods triggered by heavy rainfall, which have left several people dead, others missing, and forced the evacuation of thousands.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed the Kingdom’s “deepest condolences and sympathies” to the government and people of the Republic of Korea.

The ministry’s spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah, reaffirmed Jordan’s solidarity with South Korea during what he described as a “tragic incident.” He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wished for the swift recovery and safe return of those reported missing.

Ambassador Qudah also assured that all Jordanian citizens residing or currently in South Korea are safe and unharmed. However, he urged Jordanians in areas affected by the floods to “exercise maximum caution” and comply with safety instructions issued by Korean authorities.
