Jordan welcomes Congo peace declaration signed in Qatar
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has welcomed the signing of the Declaration of Principles between the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Congo River Alliance/March 23 Movement. The agreement was concluded in the State of Qatar, which played a key role in facilitating the talks.
Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah said the Kingdom supports the declaration, describing it as a positive step that will enhance security and peace across the African continent. He stressed Jordan’s backing of all diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving conflicts through peaceful means.
Qudah also commended Qatar’s diplomatic role, praising its efforts in bringing the two sides together. He said the agreement marks an important move toward achieving national reconciliation and strengthening stability in eastern Congo.
