16-07-2025 01:12|US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the foreign ministers of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom agreed during a phone call on Monday to set the end of August as a deadline for Iran to reach a nuclear agreement, according to three sources cited by Axios.
If no agreement is reached by that deadline, the three European powers intend to activate the "snapback" mechanism, which would reimpose all United Nations Security Council sanctions lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran.
