Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was lightly wounded in his leg in an “Israeli” strike on a meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council meeting last month during the 12-day war, Iran’s IRGC-affiliated Fars News outlet reports.

The report says “Israel” attempted to assassinate the parliament speaker and the head of the judiciary in the strike.

All of the officials managed to escape the strike via an emergency hatch, after six missiles were used to block the exits to the building where the meeting was conducted and disrupt airflow.

The meeting was held in the lower floors of a building in western Tehran.

Fars News says the operation was reportedly designed to mimic the assassination of the former Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.

Pezeshkian was injured while escaping the building.

The report added that Iran is investigating the possibility of a mole who provided the meeting information to “Israel”.
