Palestinian shot, run over by 'Israeli' forces after alleged stabbing near Jenin
Israeli Occupation Forces shot and killed a Palestinian man in the town of Rummana, west of Jenin, on Thursday, after he allegedly carried out a stabbing attack that injured an 'Israeli' soldier, according to reports from Palestinian media and 'Israeli' army statements.
The slain man was identified as Ahmad Amour, known locally as “Abu Anas.” Palestinian media said that after being shot, Amour was left wounded on the ground before 'Israeli' military vehicles ran over him. Photos from the scene showed his body soaked in blood in the middle of the road, sparking widespread anger among residents.
Roya TV reported that the 'Israeli' army claimed Amour stabbed a soldier, inflicting moderate injuries, before being shot. Shortly after his death, occupation forces reportedly seized Amour’s body and continued military operations in the area.
Eyewitnesses said troops raided several homes in Rummana and imposed a curfew, heightening tensions in the town. The incident comes amid intensified 'Israeli' raids across the occupied West Bank.
