'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, where he praised the US military and CENTCOM for a recent demonstration of force aimed at Iran.

“You have the gratitude of the people of Israel and the state of Israel,” Netanyahu said, calling the show of US military power “the roar of two lions… heard around the world.” He thanked the US Department of Defense, CENTCOM, and President Donald Trump for what he described as a strong and resolute message.

Secretary Hegseth echoed the sentiment, emphasizing that the operation was intended to send a message not only to Iran but to the world. “Those B-2 pilots sent a message to the world as well,” he said, thanking Israel for being “a friend, a model ally, and showing leadership and strength.”

The meeting took place at the Pentagon and included a formal welcome by Hegseth and his wife, Jennifer Rauchet, who greeted Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, upon arrival.

Netanyahu also reaffirmed his belief in “peace through strength,” a message he says he shares with President Trump. “First comes strength, then comes the peace,” he added.

The visit comes amid heightened regional tensions and growing cooperation between the US and 'Israel' on defense matters.
