VIDEO: Gaza residents report strange smoke
Residents in Gaza have recently observed unusual circular plumes of smoke following an “Israeli” airstrike, a phenomenon similar to footage recorded earlier this year in March.
Reports suggest that the smoke may be linked to the use of white phosphorus bombs, weapons 'Israel' has previously been accused of deploying in the Gaza Strip.
What is white phosphorus?
White phosphorus is an incendiary weapon that ignites upon contact with oxygen, producing intense heat and thick white smoke. Its burning effect is comparable to molten metal, capable of causing severe burns, respiratory damage, and uncontrollable fires.
The use of white phosphorus is heavily restricted under international law, especially in civilian-populated areas, due to its devastating humanitarian impact.
The recent sightings have raised fresh concerns among humanitarian groups and local residents about the potential use of such controversial weapons in ongoing conflicts. International organizations continue to call for strict adherence to laws protecting civilians from incendiary weapons.
White phosphorus has caused severe 4th and 5th-degree burns to Palestinian victims. While I won't display actual images, a mere description cannot fully capture the severity. Instead, I'll provide a medical illustration to depict the extent of the damage. pic.twitter.com/O8bDQLkxim
