An "Israeli" drone strike in southern Lebanon on Monday killed Ali Abd al-Hassan Haidar, a commander in Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force, the "Israeli" military announced Tuesday.
Haidar's death was also confirmed by Hezbollah, which identified him as a "martyr."
The strike occurred in the area of Deir Kifa, a village in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon.
As a commander in the Radwan Force, Haidar held a significant role within Hezbollah's special operations unit, which is known for its involvement in cross-border attacks and incursions into "Israel."
