The Palestinian al-Jabari clan issued a firm statement on Sunday denying any connection to an individual allegedly proposing the creation of a so-called “emirate” in the city of Hebron, separate from the Palestinian Authority.

The statement followed a meeting of the clan’s elders, held in response to reports in Hebrew-language media claiming that someone affiliated with the al-Jabari family had submitted a plan for secession.

The clan asserted that the individual in question is not from the city of Hebron, is unknown to the family, and that his ideas and affiliations do not represent the clan in any way.

“We completely disavow this individual and his actions,” the statement read. “We reject and denounce anything said or done by this person, who falsely claims association with the al-Jabari clan.”

Reaffirming their national commitment, the statement highlighted the clan’s long record of resistance, noting that it has sacrificed hundreds of martyrs, wounded, and prisoners in the struggle against the Israeli Occupation. The clan said this history reflects its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.

The statement concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold Islamic and national values, foremost among them the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Al-Jabari leaders emphasized that this message serves as a clear grassroots rejection of any attempt to fragment Palestinian society or weaken its national representation.
