Mild summer weather expected in most of Jordan
Jordan is set to experience mild summer conditions across most regions in the coming days, while hotter weather will persist in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
In a forecast issued Tuesday, the department said temperatures will slightly dip on Wednesday, accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds that may stir dust, particularly in desert areas. Medium-level clouds are expected throughout the day and night.
On Thursday and Friday, weather conditions are expected to remain stable, with moderate summer temperatures prevailing across much of the country. However, heat will continue in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will occasionally pick up, raising dust in desert regions and reducing horizontal visibility.
A slight increase in temperatures is expected on Saturday, with typical summer conditions in most areas and continued heat in the southern and low-lying regions.
The Meteorological Department issued warnings about reduced visibility due to dust, especially in desert zones, and advised against direct exposure to sunlight during peak hours, particularly in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Authorities urged the public, especially those with respiratory conditions and drivers in dusty areas, to take precautions, stay hydrated, and limit prolonged exposure to the sun.
