Teenage girl jumps to death from cliff in Amman

A 15-year-old girl died after jumping off a cliff estimated to be 30 meters high in the Al-Mareekh area of Amman, according to a source close to the investigation.

The source told Roya that the Amman public prosecutor has launched an investigation into the incident to determine its circumstances.

The girl’s mother had passed away some time ago, and her father lives outside Jordan, reportedly wanted in connection with a legal case, the source said.

The teenager had been living with relatives along with her 10-year-old brother, the source added.

According to an initial medical examination, the forensic doctor found the girl sustained multiple fractures to her head and body, along with internal bleeding.

The public prosecutor has ordered the body to be transferred to the National Center for Forensic Medicine for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
