Austria declares three days of mourning after deadly school shooting

10-06-2025 16:47|Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker announced a three-day period of national mourning on Tuesday following a devastating school shooting in Graz that left nine people dead and several seriously injured. The attack was reportedly carried out by a former student.

Speaking at a press conference in Graz, Stocker conveyed the nation's grief. "During three days of national mourning, all of Austria will remember the victims," he stated.
Standing alongside Interior Minister Gerhard Karner, the Chancellor described the incident as "an act of unimaginable violence," adding, "This is a dark day."
