Islamic Jihad claims rocket fire from Gaza after 'Israel' announces interception

Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for rocket fire at southern 'Israel' on Tuesday, following the 'Israeli' military’s announcement that it had intercepted two projectiles fired from Gaza, with a third falling in an open area.

"We bombarded Ashdod, Ashkelon, Sderot, and settlements in the Gaza envelope with rocket fire,"Islamic Jihad said in a statement on Telegram.

The 'Israeli' military confirmed the interception of two rockets launched from Gaza, with a third projectile landing in an unpopulated area. Sirens were triggered at 9:44 PM local time in several areas along the Gaza border.

"No injuries have been reported," the military stated.

This announcement comes amid ongoing 'Israeli' bombardment of Gaza, including strikes on residential areas and hospitals.
