Red Cross en route to receive Edan Alexander
According to a Roya correspondent, Red Cross vehicles have moved from their headquarters in Al-Mawasi, Gaza to receive the captive Edan Alexander.
Earlier, Abu Obaida, the spokesperson for Al-Qassam Brigades — the military wing of Hamas — announced that the resistance had decided to release the American-"Israeli" soldier held in Gaza, Edan Alexander, on Monday.
Meanwhile, a Hamas source told Agence France-Presse that intermediaries had informed the movement that the "Israeli" military had begun suspending its operations in Gaza in preparation for the handover of the American-"Israeli" captive, Edan Alexander.
The source explained that "starting at 9:30 AM (Jerusalem time), the 'Israeli' military halted the flights of warplanes, surveillance, and drones, in addition to suspending all combat operations inside the Strip, to secure a safe corridor for the transfer and handover of Edan."
According to Reuters, citing a source familiar with the matter, the 'Israeli' vehicles are heading to a designated location in preparation for Alexander’s handover.
Simultaneously, 'Israeli' media reported that Gal Hirsch, Israel’s Coordinator for captives Affairs, and US envoy Steve Witkoff are on their way to the Re’im military base in southern 'Israel'—a key location previously used during captives returns.
