Jordan welcomes India-Pakistan ceasefire

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Saturday welcomed the ceasefire agreement between the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, describing it as an important step toward strengthening regional security and stability.

Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Dr. Sufian Qudah expressed the Kingdom’s support for the agreement, underscoring the importance of resolving crises through diplomatic means and upholding the principles of good neighborliness.

Qudah reaffirmed Jordan’s support for all diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving disputes and conflicts peacefully. He also commended both India and Pakistan for reaching the ceasefire deal, emphasizing their commitment to dialogue and restraint—moves he said contribute to bolstering regional and international peace and security, as well as advancing the pursuit of a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
