Jordanian man swept away by tsunami in Bali

Hussam Al-Bakkar, a young engineer in his twenties, has gone missing after being swept away by tsunami waves that hit Bali Island, Indonesia, a few days ago, while he was on a trip with his friends.

The Mayor of Na'our, Mazid Al-Masaafa, told "Roya News" that Al-Bakkar, who is from the Na'our district, was on a trip to Bali with several friends when a sudden tsunami struck, sweeping him into the sea.

Al-Masaafa confirmed that the Jordanian embassy in Indonesia is in contact with local authorities and coordinating efforts to find Al-Bakkar. Search efforts are ongoing.

As of now, Indonesian authorities have not issued any official statement regarding the young man's fate.
