Jordan army downs drug-laden drone across eastern border

The Jordanian Armed Forces–Arab Army said Saturday the Eastern Command intercepted an attempt to smuggle narcotics using a drone along the border within its area of responsibility.

The statement said that Border Guard forces, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, detected a drone attempting to illegally cross into Jordan.

The drone was jammed and forced to drop its payload, which was seized and transferred to the relevant authorities.
