Hamas slams "Israeli" military expansion as ‘sacrifice of captives’
Hamas strongly condemned the Israeli Occupation's decision to expand military operations in the Gaza Strip, describing it as a “clear decision to sacrifice the Israeli captives.”
In a statement issued today, the movement said the decision reflects "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s insistence on “committing further war crimes against innocent civilians in the Strip,” with full support and cover from the US.
Hamas stated that the Israeli Occupation is “repeating a cycle of failure” that began 18 months ago without achieving any of its declared goals, stressing that this move will only “deepen its internal crisis.”
The movement affirmed that the Palestinian people and their resistance “will not be intimidated by the threats and plans” of "Israeli" army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir.
Hamas called on Arab and Islamic nations, as well as the international community, to take responsibility and “rein in the fascist occupation and curb its crimes,” demanding an immediate end to the assault on Gaza.
Hamas concluded its statement by reaffirming that “Palestinian resistance will remain a shield defending the people’s rights and land, regardless of the sacrifices or the escalation of threats.”
