The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced Monday that 57 children have died from malnutrition and related health complications since the start of the “Israeli” aggression, as the Strip’s healthcare crisis continues to worsen.

In a statement marking the launch of a global campaign in solidarity with "Gaza’s Children," the ministry accused “Israel” of deliberately starving over two million Palestinians by closing border crossings, blocking food and medical supplies, and cutting off water access.

It warned that health indicators in the besieged strip have reached “extremely dangerous” levels.

The ministry reported that the death toll among children has risen to 16,278 since the start of “Israel’s” ongoing assault on the Gaza Strip.

It said most primary healthcare centers have been destroyed, depriving children and pregnant women of access to essential medical services.

The ministry also warned of severe consequences due to the continued ban on the entry of polio vaccines, which it said threatens to undermine disease prevention efforts in the territory.
