PM Hassan congratulates Palestine Vice President on new role
Jordan’s Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Monday congratulated Hussein Al-Sheikh on his appointment as Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Vice President of the State of Palestine.

During a phone call, Hassan extended his best wishes to Al-Sheikh in his new roles and discussed ways to strengthen the fraternal ties between Jordan and Palestine, including expanding cooperation across all fields – a statement by Jordan’s Prime Ministry said.
The prime minister reaffirmed Jordan’s steadfast support—under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II—for the Palestinian people in securing their legitimate rights, foremost among them the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital – the statement concluded.
