Slight rise in temperatures expected in Jordan Sunday through Tuesday
Temperatures are expected to climb slightly on Sunday, with generally mild weather prevailing across the kingdom, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD). Clouds at medium and high altitudes are expected to appear throughout the day.
At night, the weather will turn relatively cool over mountainous areas and remain mild elsewhere. In Amman, the high is forecast to reach 26°C, while the low will dip to 14°C.
Another slight temperature increase is expected on Monday. Most areas will experience mild conditions, while the Jordan Valley and Aqaba will see relatively hot weather. Cloud cover at various altitudes will continue, and light showers are possible in eastern parts of the country during the evening.
Northwesterly winds will pick up, stirring dust especially over desert areas. Authorities are warning of reduced horizontal visibility in these regions.
Overnight, cooler conditions will return to the highlands, with Amman's temperatures reaching a high of 27°C and a low of 13°C.
On Tuesday, generally mild conditions will persist, accompanied by low clouds and moderate northwesterly winds. Nighttime temperatures will again be relatively cool over mountainous areas and mild elsewhere. In Amman, highs will hover around 26°C, with lows dropping to 14°C.
