Qassam Brigades announce deadly tunnel ambush on 'Israeli' unit in Gaza

The Qassam Brigades said Monday that its fighters carried out a deadly ambush targeting an 'Israeli' engineering unit in eastern Gaza City.

A statement from the group said that the fighters lured the unit to the entrance of a tunnel that had been pre-rigged with explosives in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood. Once the 'Israeli' forces arrived, the explosives were detonated, resulting in what the group described as multiple casualties among the soldiers.

The ambush took place east of the Al-Tuffah area, near the front lines of ongoing battles.
