Hamas comments on 'Israeli' ministers' calls to impose sovereignty over West Bank

Hamas has strongly condemned recent statements by 'Israeli' ministers advocating for the imposition of 'Israeli' sovereignty over the occupied West Bank, calling them a “desperate attempt to liquidate the Palestinian cause and steal the land.”

In a statement reported by Al Jazeera on Sunday, the group said the comments “reflect a fascist colonial mindset” and urged the international community to take action to halt what it described as Israeli Occupation’s “expansionist crimes.”

Hamas also called on Palestinians to intensify resistance efforts and confront 'Israeli' forces, vowing to thwart what it described as ongoing efforts to Judaize the territory.

The statements come amid heightened tensions in the region and growing international concern over settlement expansion and the future of the occupied Palestinian territories.
