Netanyahu vows to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear arms
“Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed his commitment Saturday to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, declaring he would not waver in that effort.
"I'm committed to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. I will not give up on this, I will not let go of it, and I will not retreat from it -- not even by a millimetre," Netanyahu said in a televised statement.
He said that Hamas rejected a recent ceasefire proposal which includes the return of half of the remaining living captives, as it demands a full end to the “Israeli” aggression in Gaza and a military retreat.
“If we capitulate to the dictates of Hamas now, all the great achievements of the war, which we achieved with the merit of our soldiers and our fallen and our heroic injured, all these achievements will disappear,” Netanyahu says.
“As your prime minister, I will not capitulate to murderers who committed the worst massacre against the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Capitulation like this will endanger the country and endanger you,” he continues.
