The number of Palestinian journalists killed since the start of 'Israel’s' war on Gaza has risen to 213, following the death of writer and journalist Tamer Ensyu Miqdad in an 'Israeli' airstrike on his home in the Tel al-Zaatar area of northern Gaza.

The strike, which took place overnight, also killed Miqdad’s daughter and several other members of his family, according to local media sources.

Miqdad was a well-known journalist and writer in Gaza. His death adds to the growing toll on the media community amid 'Israel’s' ongoing offensive.

Journalist unions and press freedom advocates have condemned the repeated targeting of media workers and their families in Gaza, calling it part of a broader pattern of silencing voices during the war.
