PM Hassan addresses education, local development needs in Tafilah
Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan visited Hareth Bin Umair Primary School in Tafilah Governorate, where he listened to the needs of teachers and directed the establishment of easily accessible funding mechanisms for educators.
He also emphasized the importance of exploring ways to expand housing projects suitable for teachers in various governorates across Jordan.
During his visit, the Prime Minister further instructed the study of means to activate and expand the roles of teachers' clubs, aiming to enhance the services they provide to educators nationwide.
In response to the school’s infrastructure needs, Hassan directed the creation of an expansion plan for Hareth Bin Umair Primary School, including the development of its facilities and sports fields. He also recommended equipping the school’s kindergarten with modern learning tools to keep pace with educational advancements.
Additionally, the Prime Minister called for general maintenance work to be carried out at Al-Qadisiyah Primary School in Bseira District to address overcrowding and improve the learning environment.
As part of his efforts to follow up on local needs and strengthen engagement with communities, Hassan also visited the Hasa District of Tafilah Governorate, starting with a tour of the Hasa Charitable Society for Orphans and the Poor. There, he was briefed on the association’s care, production, and training programs. He commended the society’s efforts in empowering vulnerable groups and improving their living conditions, directing support for the society’s vocational and production initiatives to expand its services to more beneficiaries.
Hassan also visited the Jerash Garment Factory, where he was briefed on the company’s expansion project aimed at doubling the number of female employees from 500 to 1,000. The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s support for investments that create local employment opportunities, particularly for women in underserved communities.
