What will weather be like this weekend?
Jordan will experience a gradual rise in temperatures starting Thursday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Thursday's weather will be generally warm across most regions, with moderate southeasterly winds, the department said in its daily report.
Warmth will continue into Friday, with warm conditions expected in most areas and relatively hot weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High-altitude clouds may appear, and southeasterly winds will remain moderate.
Saturday will mark the peak of the heatwave, with temperatures climbing 5 to 6 degrees Celsius above seasonal averages. The weather will be warm across most of the country and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High clouds are expected to persist. Winds will shift during the day from moderate southeasterlies to moderate northwesterlies.
On Sunday, temperatures will dip slightly, with warm conditions prevailing in most areas, while the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will continue to experience relatively hot weather. High-altitude clouds will remain, and northwesterly winds may become active at times, stirring dust in desert regions.
