According to the indictments, defendants Abdullah Hisham and Moath Al-Ghanem were charged with the felony of jointly manufacturing weapons with the intent to use them unlawfully, in violation of Articles 3(w) and 7(c) of the Anti-Terrorism Law No. 55 of 2006 and its amendments.

Defendant Mohsen Al-Ghanem was charged with the felony of aiding in the manufacturing of weapons with unlawful intent, under the same articles of the law.

The three — Hisham, Moath Al-Ghanem, and Mohsen Al-Ghanem — also face charges of committing acts that could disturb public order and endanger societal safety, under Articles 2 and 7(i) of the Anti-Terrorism Law.

In the case involving a drone-manufacturing project, defendants Ali Qassem, Abdulaziz Haroun, Abdullah Al-Haddar, and Ahmad Khalifah were charged with felonies for committing acts that could endanger public order and the safety of society.

In two recruitment-related cases, five individuals — Khudr Abdulaziz, Ayman Ajjawi, Mohammad Saleh, Marwan Al-Hawamdeh, and Anas Abu Awwad — were charged with similar offenses under the Anti-Terrorism Law.

Additionally, a case involving the transport and storage of explosives and automatic weapons smuggled from abroad — including a hidden missile in a suburb of Amman — is currently being heard before the court. Four defendants are being tried in the defense evidence phase.

Government spokesperson and Minister of Government Communication Dr. Mohammad Al-Momani announced Tuesday that 16 individuals were arrested in connection with various plots aiming to “undermine national security and sow chaos” – according to the statement.
