"Foiled plots prove strength, commitment to regional security," says Jordan PM
Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan affirmed that the recent security operation carried out by the General Intelligence Directorate and other security agencies reflects the strength and resilience of Jordan, and underscores its steadfast commitment to supporting its Arab brothers in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
His remarks came during a phone call received today, Tuesday, from Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. The two leaders reiterated the strong and historic brotherly ties between Jordan and Lebanon.
Prime Minister Salam expressed Lebanon’s full solidarity with Jordan in the face of any plots targeting its security and stability. He also conveyed Lebanon’s readiness to cooperate with Jordanian authorities to counter any threats to the safety of both nations.
Dr. Hassan thanked Lebanon for its support, emphasizing that the foiled plots, uncovered through the high efficiency of Jordan’s intelligence and security services, are proof of the nation’s robustness. He reiterated Jordan’s ongoing role as a pillar of support for its regional partners in confronting the dangers of extremism and terrorism.
