Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmad Al-Safadi, affirmed that tampering with Jordan’s national security is both a crime and a betrayal, deserving the harshest of punishments. He stressed that there will be no tolerance for those who engage in what he described as “diabolical behavior” that serves the interests of the country’s enemies.

In a press statement issued on Sunday, Al-Safadi said the House of Representatives denounces and distances itself from any malicious actions or ill intentions that threaten the country’s safety. He reaffirmed that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and supported by its courageous military and security agencies, remains resilient and strong thanks to the awareness and loyalty of the Jordanian people.

“The crime uncovered by the ‘Knights of Truth’ within the General Intelligence Directorate reveals previous schemes marked by double standards and hidden agendas aimed at harming the nation and its institutions,” Al-Safadi stated.

He warned against adopting militia-like ideologies in a state that is historically rooted in stability and security, describing such acts as "unpardonable crimes." He emphasized that the current situation calls for decisive state action and a demonstration of strength.

“Shame on those vile deeds and disgraceful goals pursued by that misguided group,” Al-Safadi added, affirming that Jordan will endure while those who conspire against it will be defeated. He praised the Jordanian people’s steadfastness and loyalty, and commended the armed forces, intelligence, and security personnel as an unbreakable shield against any threat.
