Local Administration Minister Walid Masri has called to intensify national efforts to raise the Jordanian flag across all public spaces, as the Kingdom prepares to mark National Flag Day on April 16.

Masri instructed municipalities and service centers to prominently raise flags on official buildings and main streets, using appropriately sized flags to ensure broad visibility as a sign of national pride and loyalty to the Hashemite leadership.

The initiative, he said, aligns with royal directives aimed at reinforcing national values and Jordanian identity, while honoring the sacrifices of previous generations.

The Jordanian flag, he added, stands as a symbol of pride in the nation’s founding principles and cultural diversity.

The ministry’s campaign includes installing flags in public squares, distributing free flags to citizens, illuminating key landmarks in the flag’s colors, and launching interactive media campaigns.

The ministry also called on the private sector and civil society organizations to take part by raising flags on their premises and initiating community volunteer activities.

The initiative is part of a coordinated effort with the Ministry of Culture and others to ensure celebrations are held across all governorates.
