Temperatures drop across Jordan Monday; rain, expected in some areas

Jordan will see a noticeable drop in temperatures on Monday, with readings falling 6 to 7°C below seasonal averages. The weather will be relatively cold and partly to mostly cloudy across much of the country, while conditions remain milder in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Scattered showers are expected intermittently in northern and central regions, with a chance of light rain reaching limited parts of the eastern and southwestern areas. Winds will be active and westerly.

Weather Warnings

The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) has issued warnings of reduced visibility due to fog in mountainous and plain areas during the early morning and late-night hours. Dust may also reduce visibility in desert regions.

Temperatures will rise slightly on Tuesday, though the weather remains relatively cold in most areas and mild in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Skies will remain partly cloudy.

There is still a chance of light rain in northern and eastern regions during the early morning hours. Winds will be moderate and northwesterly, occasionally becoming active.

Wednesday Outlook

Weather conditions are expected to improve on Wednesday as stability returns and temperatures see a slight increase. The weather will be pleasant across most regions and relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with some high-altitude clouds. Winds will be moderate and easterly.

Thursday Outlook

Temperatures will continue to rise on Thursday, reaching seasonal averages. Most areas will experience moderate weather, while conditions will be warmer in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be southeasterly and moderate, occasionally active in desert regions.
