Weather forecasts indicate a noticeable drop in temperatures in Jordan on Wednesday evening, though they will remain about 3-5°C above the seasonal average – per ArabiaWeather.

The weather will remain warm but slightly dusty, with medium and high clouds appearing during the afternoon. Winds will be moderate from the west, with gusts during the afternoon that will stir up dust in varying intensities.

In desert regions and eastern plains, strong winds will pick up in the afternoon, stirring up thick dust waves and significantly reducing visibility, possibly leading to near-zero visibility in those areas.

Cold Front Expected Wednesday Night

As the night progresses into Wednesday/Thursday, Jordan will be impacted by a relatively cool and moist air mass pushing in behind the Khamsini low-pressure system. Temperatures will drop, making the weather feel cooler across the country, with increased humidity and the possibility of low clouds, potentially leading to fog over mountainous areas, especially in the northern and southern parts of the kingdom.

Arab Weather predicts large temperature variations between day and night, ranging from 10-15°C, reaching up to 18-20°C in desert regions. This fluctuation heightens the risk of seasonal illnesses, particularly for children, requiring extra attention.

Thursday and Friday: Cooler Temperatures and Rain Showers

By Thursday, the cooler air mass will deepen its effect on Jordan, causing temperatures to drop further by about 4-6°C below the average. The weather will be partly to mostly cloudy, with a chance of sporadic rain showers in some areas. Winds will shift from northwesterly to westerly, becoming moderate to brisk by afternoon, stirring up dust across various areas, especially in desert roads and eastern plains.

On Friday, temperatures will remain several degrees below the seasonal average, leading to relatively cool daytime weather and cold nights, with low clouds persistently affecting the region.

Given the anticipated weather fluctuations, ArabiaWeather advises caution regarding reduced visibility due to dense dust in desert roads and border crossings. Drivers should exercise caution at the onset of rain and be mindful of the significant temperature differences, dressing warmly to stay comfortable.
