Jordan, UAE Foreign Ministers meet in Abu Dhabi
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi and UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday discussed ways to strengthen relations between Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
The two ministers affirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation across all sectors in a way that serves the shared interests of both nations, supports their developmental visions, and promotes the prosperity and well-being of their peoples – a statement by Jordan’s Foreign Ministry said.
Safadi and Sheikh Abdullah also reviewed the latest regional developments and efforts to enhance security and stability, resolve ongoing crises, and prevent their escalation.
During the meeting, both ministers stressed the importance of intensified efforts to reach an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza and to implement the exchange deal, which was achieved through Egyptian, Qatari, and US mediation.
They also discussed ways to boost cooperation to enhance humanitarian response efforts and ensure the immediate and sufficient delivery of aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip.
The ministers emphasized the importance of continued collaboration, consultation, and coordination to address current regional challenges and contribute to long-term stability and peace.
