Government announces public holiday for Christians on Palm Sunday, Easter

Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan issued a directive on Sunday declaring official holidays for Christian employees in all ministries, public institutions, government-owned companies, universities, municipalities, joint service councils, and the Greater Amman Municipality in observance of Palm Sunday and Easter according to the Eastern calendar.

According to the directive, Christian employees will be off on Sunday, April 13, 2025, for Palm Sunday, and on Sunday and Monday, April 20 and 21, 2025, in celebration of Easter.
