King Abdullah II, German President discuss strengthening strategic partnership

King Abdullah II of Jordan met with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin on Thursday to discuss ways to enhance the strategic partnership between the two countries.

During the meeting, King Abdullah expressed his appreciation for the strong ties between Jordan and Germany and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation, particularly in economic and educational sectors.

The discussions also covered key regional issues, including developments in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, and Lebanon. The king reiterated the need for intensified international efforts to achieve a comprehensive de-escalation in the region.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi, the Director of the King’s Office, Engineer Alaa Batayneh, and Jordan's Ambassador to Germany, Fayez Khoury.
