King Abdullah II, German Chancellor discuss Gaza crisis

On Thursday, His Majesty King Abdullah II held a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin. 

During the meeting, King Abdullah emphasized that the talks with Germany had been fruitful, expressing his hope to expand cooperation between the two countries into broader areas. He also highlighted the importance of deepening economic and investment relations, noting that he had enjoyed several meetings with representatives of German companies aimed at exploring ways to enhance these ties.

Additionally, His Majesty addressed the ongoing situation in Gaza, stressing the immediate need for an end to the Israeli war, the restoration of the ceasefire, and the resumption of humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of civilians. He pointed out that the displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza represents a significant threat to regional stability.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, during the joint press conference, reaffirmed Germany's commitment to supporting Jordan and standing by it in various fields. Regarding the situation in Gaza, Scholz emphasized the necessity of returning to the negotiating table, implementing a ceasefire, and taking steps to ensure long-term stability and peace in the region.
