Jordanian army thwarts drug smuggling attempt along northeastern border
The Eastern Military Zone successfully intercepted an infiltration and drug smuggling attempt along Jordan’s northeastern border on Wednesday, effectively blocking the illegal entry of narcotics from Syrian territory.
A senior military official from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) announced that border guards, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, managed to thwart the smuggling operation and confiscate a quantity of narcotics in the process.
The seized substances have been turned over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and processing.
The official emphasized JAF's unwavering commitment to employing all available resources and capabilities to prevent infiltration and smuggling activities, ensuring the security and stability of Jordan.
