Five killed on second day of Eid as 'Israeli' army orders evacuations in Rafah
The 'Israeli' army issued new evacuation orders today, Monday, for most residents in Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian media reported fatalities following 'Israeli' airstrikes in central and northern Gaza.
The evacuation orders come after 'Israel' resumed its air and ground operations against Hamas earlier this month, following the end of a ceasefire.
The 'Israeli' army spokesperson Avichay Adraee posted a message on their X account, stating: “To all residents in Rafah areas—Nasser, Shouka municipalities, eastern and western regional areas, and the neighborhoods of Salam, Manara, and Qeizan al-Najjar—the Israeli army is returning to combat… For your safety, please move immediately to shelters in the Mawassi area.”

Five Palestinians were killed and others injured today in 'Israeli' airstrikes in central and northern Gaza.
The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported that three people were martyred in an airstrike east of Al-Masdar village, in central Gaza.
Two others were killed, and several more were injured in a separate strike east of Jabalia, northern Gaza. Additionally, a child was injured when an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on a school in the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, which is sheltering displaced people.
The Palestinian Information Center confirmed several Palestinians were killed or injured on the second day of Eid al-Fitr, following a deadly first day in which 76 people, including more than 30 children, were martyred, mostly from Khan Yunis.
'Israel' ended the ceasefire with Hamas on March 18, launching a surprise wave of airstrikes that resulted in hundreds of Palestinian casualties across the Gaza Strip.
'Israel' also carried out a large-scale operation in Rafah in May, causing widespread destruction, according to the Associated Press.
'Israel' has taken control of a strategic buffer zone along the border with Egypt and has not withdrawn from it, contrary to calls for withdrawal in ceasefire agreements.
