One-year-old girl found dead after drowning in bucket of water in Northern Jordan

A one-year-old girl tragically passed away after drowning in a bucket of water Friday after getting stuck while playing in her family’s home in the Qarn area of northern Jordan.

Dr. Mouaid Al-Shukur, director of Abu Ubaidah Government Hospital, told the Petra news agency that emergency staff attempted to revive the child, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The body has been transferred to the northern regional forensic center to determine the exact cause of death.
