Temperatures in Jordan to soar above seasonal average
Temperatures in Jordan will rise slightly on Thursday, reaching 8-10°C above the seasonal average – according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
The weather will remain warm in most areas and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with continued high clouds. Occasionally, active southeasterly winds may stir up dust, particularly in desert areas.
On Friday, warm spring conditions will persist in most regions, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain hot. Medium- and high-altitude clouds will be present.
As a Khamsin low-pressure system gradually affects the country, dusty conditions will develop across most areas, accompanied by moderate-to-active southeasterly winds.
By Saturday, Jordan will be impacted by unstable weather conditions, bringing noticeable drops in temperature and widespread dusty conditions.
The weather will be mild in most areas but will remain warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Various cloud formations will cover the skies, with intermittent scattered rain expected.
Rainfall may become heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms in the evening, particularly in southeastern Jordan and parts of the northeastern Badia. Winds will shift to northwesterly, moderate to active at times.
