Heavy rain, hail blanket Saudi Arabia’s Asir region

The Asir region of Saudi Arabia, home to the city of Abha, experienced heavy rainfall and intense hail, covering vast areas in a white layer.

Abha, the capital of Asir, along with surrounding areas such as Al-Soudah, Tabab, Billahmar, and Billasmar, were significantly affected. Other impacted provinces included Khamis Mushait, Ahad Rafidah, Sarat Abidah, Al-Harjah, Tanomah, Al-Namas, and Balqarn.

The rare weather event transformed the region into a breathtaking winter-like scene, drawing residents and visitors outdoors to capture photos. Meanwhile, authorities have urged caution due to potential flash floods and reduced visibility in some areas.
