“Israeli” court upholds detention of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya

An “Israeli” court in Bir al-Saba' ruled Tuesday to uphold the six-month detention order against Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, under the so-called “Unlawful Combatant Law.”

“Israeli” forces detained Abu Safiya, 52, on December 27, 2024, from Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, along with several medical staff members and civilians.

He was also denied his right to meet with a lawyer for 47 days.
