Lebanese Health Ministry has confirmed the martyrdom of one person and the injury of others following an 'Israeli' drone strike targeting a vehicle in the town of Qaaqaaiyet El Jisr, located in southern Lebanon.

A Lebanese security source explained that the attack was carried out with two missiles, which struck the vehicle, resulting in civilian casualties.

The source further confirmed that the security situation in the area remains tense, and Lebanese authorities are still investigating the incident.

On Saturday, 'Israel' escalated its attacks on Lebanon after claiming that one of its northern settlements was hit by a missile attack originating from the Lebanese side, a claim denied by Hezbollah.

'Israeli' airstrikes on Lebanon on Saturday killed 6 people and injured 31, according to statistics compiled by Anadolu based on official Lebanese sources.

On October 8, 2023, 'Israel' began an aggression on Lebanon, which escalated into a full-scale war on Sep. 23, 2024, resulting in over 4,000 deaths and nearly 17,000 injuries, including many children and women, in addition to the displacement of around 1.4 million people.

Despite a ceasefire agreement on November 27, 2024, 'Israel' committed 1,263 violations of it, resulting in at least 100 deaths and 331 injuries, according to an Anadolu count based on official Lebanese data.

'Israel' has also failed to complete its withdrawal from southern Lebanon by February 18 of this year, contrary to the agreement. It carried out a partial withdrawal but continues to occupy 5 key Lebanese hills within areas seized during the recent war.

Recently, it began establishing a border strip extending one to two kilometers inside Lebanese territory.
